March 17, 1931 - July 26, 2015
On Sunday July 26, 2015, Thomas Edward Yates, Sr. entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Elsie (Wallace) Yates; granddaughter, Kristy Yates; great-grandson, Jackson Murray; great-granddaughter, Lynzi Love; and sister, Evalou Allison. Thomas is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Yates; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leon Love; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Barbara Yates, Gordon Yates, Thomas and Edie Yates; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Shirah. Pallbearers are Steve Yates, Gordon Yates, Thomas Yates, Nicholas Caldwell, Robert T. Black and Albert Straub. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ben Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steve Yates, Gordon Yates, Thomas Yates, Nicholas Caldwell, Robert Black, and Albert Straub.
