January 30, 1880 - July 29, 1961
Henry Harrison DePriest, aged 81, of Locust Bayou, died at his home Saturday morning. Mr. DePriest was born at El Dorado, but had lived at Locust Bayou for 30 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Stewart DePriest; one brother, Sylvester DePriest of Ferriday, La.; and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Silliman of Locust Bayou, Mrs. Bertha Dunn of Hampton, and Mrs. T. O. Silliman of Camden. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Locust Bayou Church conducted by Rev. Ottis Reddin. Burial will be in the Dunn cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home. Casket bearers are Jack Clay, Eugene Riggs, Lester Parker, Byron Bethea, and Jessie Autrey. (Camden News - July 30, 1961)
