Samuel Nelson Knight, 81 years old, of 2320 North 30th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 22, 1967 in a local hospital following a long illness. A retired farmer, he was born October 12, 1885 in Van Buren, Arkansas, the son of the late Jim and Ellen Knight. The Knight family lived several years at Relna in the Old Peevyhouse.

Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. C.V. Hicks of Fort Smith, May of Booneville,Vivian, and Queen both of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs.H. D. Ruffin of Baton Rouge, La and Tess of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sons, Russell a and Arthur; a sister, Gertrude of Bellflower, California; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Fentress Mortuary chapel with Winfred Skinner, of the Van Buren Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses officiating. Burial was in Roselawn cemetery.
