Joe Tas Johnson, 75, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Jan 7, 2006, in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1930, in Athens, Ala. He was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church, was self-employed in lawn care and employed by the Randall Ford family and others. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at King Solomon Baptist Church with burial of cremains at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Doris; a daughter, Gerri Grandberry of Waukegan, Ill.; three sons, Johnny Johnson of Waukegan, Ill., Larry and Johnny Johnson, both of Fort Smith; two brothers, Ernest Moore of Atkins and Houston Moore of Chicago; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
