June 2, 1912 - December 4, 1967
Charlie M. Lawson, 55, died Monday in Chicago, Illinois. He was born June 2, 1912 in Princeton, Arkansas, the son of James and Annie Means Lawson. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Aline Lawson, Chicago; two brothers, Willie Lawson, El Dorado and Austin Lawson of Longview, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Fisher, Longview, Texas, Mrs. Amy Hawthorne, Chicago, and Mrs. Idell Goodwin of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. H. G. Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - December 9, 1967)
