June 19, 1927 - September 4, 1966
James William Langston, 39, Route 2 Strong, died in an El Dorado hospital Monday from injuries suffered in an accident at his home earlier. Born in Bradley County, June 19, 1927, he was the son of Rufus and Minnie Hinds Langston. He was an employe of the Olin Matheson Co. at Huttig and a member of the Green Grove Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maggie Stanford Langston, four sons, James Henry Langston, Ricky Earl Langston, Kenneth Gene Langston and Jerry Lynn Langston; one daughter, Pamela Lavone Langston, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Frisby, Pine Bluff; a brother, Joe Frisby, Pine Bluff and six sisters, Mrs. R. J. Evans, Hermitage, Mrs. J. W. Robert, Swartz, La., Mrs. Johnny Gates, Mrs. Ruben Watters and Mrs. D. C. Maxey, all of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. C. F. Ursey, Orange, Tex. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Green Grove Church with the Rev. Herbert Stratton officiating. Burial was in the Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were Victor Myers, Glenn Black, Kenneth Fife, John D. Fife, Jesse Fife and Rural Armstrong. (The El Dorado Times - September 6, 1966)
