Uncle Putt
January 16, 1940 - July 28, 2021
James Earl Fullerton “Uncle Putt”, 81, of Junction City, AR passed from this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas.
James was born January 16, 1940 in Junction City, Louisiana to the late Harvey Fullerton and Florence Phillips Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph Fullerton; one granddaughter, Susan Patricia Fullerton.
James retired in 2011 after serving over fifty years in the fire sprinkler business. He was a member of Junction City Church of Christ. James was fond of sitting in the yard under a shade tree enjoying the company of family and friends. He was also fond of birds, and was an avid bass guitar player. Probably his greatest joy outside of family and friends was his love of all thing’s trains, especially steam locomotives.
James is survived by two sons: Reuben Fullerton, and wife Ayla, of England Arkansas, and Micah Fullerton, and wife Jennifer, of Conway Arkansas, two granddaughters: Haden Thurmon of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Mary-Micah Fullerton of Conway, Arkansas, his brother, Charles Fullerton and wife Ruth Fullerton of West Monroe, Louisiana, and sister, Paula Ferguson and husband Randy Ferguson of Sterlington, Louisiana, and nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Junction City, AR, with Bro. Don Ossman officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR
Due to the increase in Covid 19 cases we encourage those in attendance of the service to wear a mask if you so choose.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Roselawn Cemetery fund or the Junction City Church of Christ.
