*Obituary
Elton "Red" Armstrong, 87, of Van Buren, AR, went to be with the Lord Saturday February 19, 2011. He was born December 12, 1923 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Frank and Adda Armstrong.
He was a retired Welder from Burlington Industries and the owner of Armstrong Body and Paint Shop. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren, AR and the Hurst Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Juanita Johnson and Betty Cooper and several other sisters and brothers.
Funeral service was at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Van Buren, AR with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Eula, one daughter Gayle Selby and husband Ronald of Van Buren, AR, one son Donald Armstrong and wife Glynda of Missouri City, TX, three nephews who grew up in the home Billy Wayne Redman of Springdale, AR, Clifford Eugene Redman of Fayetteville, AR and Bruce Allen Redman of Forney, TX, one brother Holden Davis of Fort Smith, AR, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Bruce, Bill and Chip Redman, Donald and Steven Armstrong, Mark Gerth and Ron Selby.
