BELLA VISTA — Harold W. Pokorny, 73, of Bella Vista died April 28, 2005, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born May 5, 1931, in Valparaiso, Neb., to Howard W. and Luella Nichols Pokorny. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Steam Fitters Union in Omaha, Neb. He moved to Bella Vista in 1984 from Omaha. He was former owner of Reb's Heating and Cooling in Bella Vista and was a member of the Bella Vista American Legion and Nomad Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marvel Pokorny, to whom he was married in November 1982; one stepson, Ryan E. Brown and wife Christine of Grove City, Ohio; one sister, Barbara Altman and husband Lyle of Wilber, Neb.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Bella Vista.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nomad Shrine Club Children's Fund, c/o Presbyterian Church in Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, 72715.
