March 19, 1917 - June 28, 19James Henry Hubbard, 49, of Mexia, Tex., died suddenly Tuesday night in Laurel, Miss. He was born in Marion, La., March 19, 1917, the son of John B. and Nancy E. Lewis Hubbard. He was also a Baptist. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elsie Hubbard, Mexia, Tex.; three sons, Ronnie Hubbard, Gail Hubbard, Steven Hubbard, all of Mexia; one daughter, Susan Hubbard, Mexia; four brothers, P. P. Hubbard, W. J. Hubbard, Sam Hubbard, all of El Dorado, and Rev. O. B. Hubbard, of California; two sisters, Mrs. Deborah Williamson, Monroe, La., Mrs. Alouise Mashburn, Little Rock. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Rumph Mortuary with the Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Rumph's. Pallbearers were Cooksey Carelock, Buster Carelock, Harvey Hubbard, Thomas Hubbard, E. B. Slaughter and Floyd Guinn. (The El Dorado Times - July 1, 1966)
