HORN, Thomas - Thomas Horn, who was assisting T.B. Miller in loading a car of apples at the depot, dropped dead yesterday afternoon about 6 o'clock. He was in the car at the time and as soon as he collapsed he was taken out but life was extinct. His body was taken to the home of his step-son, Oscar Cardwell, in the northwest part of town, and prepared for burial. The remains will be interred at Sons Chapel this afternoon at 3 o'clock, services being conducted by Rev. J.W. House, pastor of the South Methodist church. Mr. Horn was a farmer, living southeast of town, near Sons Chapel, and had been a resident of this locality for more than twenty years. He was a good citizen and his sudden death comes as a great shock to his family and friends. The deceased had been married twice, being the father of seven children by his first wife and three by his last wife. His death was due to heart failure.
