Richard P. Vasquez age 84 of El Dorado, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Richard was born May 22, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to Marie Desiderio Vasquez and Salvatore Vasquez. Richard was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a retired top salesman for Mercedes Benz Dealerships in Florida. He formerly enjoyed boating, fishing in the gulf and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Jackie Orrell Vasquez, and by a great granddaughter, Alisha Cashion.

Survivors include; one daughter, Lisa Cashion and husband Wayne of El Dorado; two granddaughters, Kris Madison and husband Kyle of Parkers Chapel, and Kim Jensen and husband Cory of Allen, TX; three grandsons, Richard Cashion and wife Heather of Minot, ND, Jonathan Cashion, and Jason Cashion, both of El Dorado; nine great grandchildren, Kylie Nokes and husband Tyler, Kelsie Madison, Kohlie Madison, Lana Madison, Brooke Jensen, Marc Jensen, Audri Cashion, Wyatt Cashion and Walker Cashion; one great great grandson, Ryder Nokes; brother in law, Donald Orrell of Alvin, TX; two nieces, Tammi Lansford, and Kelli Huggins; three great nieces and nephews; his caregiver, Lisa Mayer of El Dorado, and his two special pets, Abby Rose and Princess.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Bailey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Larry Hudson officiating. A private family interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Research Fund at (pmsf.org).
