McLAREN, Parker - (from Pea Ridge) There was a very sudden death in our town Friday evening between 4 and 5 o'clock. Mr. Parker McLaren came into the barber shop and asked to be shaved. He sat down in the chair and the barber began to get ready when he noticed that something seemed to be wrong. S.D. Lee was in the shop and they called Dr. Green but Mr. McLaren was dead before he arrived. He neither moved nor spoke after he sat down. His wife and son were phoned for and our people did everything they could to help them. He was taken to his home, three miles east of Pea Ridge, and we understand that the Masons had charge of the funeral which was held Monday at Twelve Corners. Mr. McLaren had not been well for some time.

McLAREN, Arthur - Arthur McLaren, aged 65 years, died at Pea Ridge the afternoon of the 8th of this month. He was seated in a barber chair about to be shaved when he began to sink and died almost at once. The cause of his death was supposed to be heart failure.
