Betty Ann Zeek, 75 of Magnolia, AR. formerly of Smackover, AR, died on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her home in Magnolia, AR following a sudden illness.
Born on May 2, 1937 in Smackover, AR; she was the daughter of Harry “Hugo’ and Opal Strader Zeek. Betty was a resident of the Arkansas Children’s Colony in Alexander, AR from 1969 to 1986. Betty then moved to Columbia County Independent Living Center.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jack and O.B. “Buster” Zeek, and her sisters Earnestine Grahnert and Dorothy Sidler.
Survivors are a sister Lucille Johnson of Ellensburg, WA, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 pm to 7 p.m. at Young’s.
