Husband of Catherine Susan Maledon Mivelaz
Frank William Mivelaz, 65 years old, and a resident of Fort Smith for the last 51 years died suddenly at his home, 415 North 14th St. at 4:30 in the afternoon, Monday, December 16, 1935. Although Mr. Mivelaz has been in ill health for several years, his death occurred unexpectedly.
Mr. Mivelaz, a son of the late Lawrence and Mary Mivelaz was born in Memphis, Tennessee and came to Fort Smith with his parents in 1884.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Katherine Mivelaz, a son, Lawrence Mivelaz, two daughters, Miss Katherine Mivelaz and Mrs. Lucille Duester; one brother, Joseph of Oakland, CA and five sisters Mrs. Louise Pendergrast, Mrs. Lena Dawson, Miss Marquerite Mivelaz and Mrs. Amelia Sims all of Fort Smith and Mrs. Ethel Wald of Texarkana.
Funeral services were held December 18th at 9 a.m., Tom Pendergrast, nephew of Mr. Mivelaz officated at requiem high mass. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Lohemeyer Funeral Home.
