Horace G. Wilson, 90 of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.
Born December 20, 1928 in Magnolia, AR, he was the son of Jewell and Mary Gathright Wilson. Mr. Wilson was employed and later became the owner of Dumas Packing Company for over 35 years. He had served his country during World War II as a member of the U. S. Navy and was a member of Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marie Ogden Wilson, his parents, two half- sisters, Mildred Poole Truxton and Helen Poole Prothro, step-mother, Gertrude Hughes Wilson and four half- brothers, Harry Wilson, Harold Wilson, Corbin Wilson and George Wilson.

Survivors include one son Joe Wilson and his wife Sarah Wilson of Wylie, Texas.

A visitation with friends and family will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 11 2019 at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Pat Daugherty officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church, %Pete Parks, 441 N. Washington, El Dorado, AR 71730.
