Wanda Fayne Collins, 91 of El Dorado, passed away, Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale, AR. She was born June 4, 1921, to Lovin F. and Jewel Hunt Cheek in Gurdon, AR.
Wanda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and encouraged her children in all that they did. She was a talented seamstress and also active in her childrens’ activities. She loved her home and made it a happy dwelling place. She was also extremely proud of her grandson. Wanda was the former manager of the El Dorado Raquet Club, a substitute Teacher for the El Dorado School District, and she was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Fred Kenneth Collins; and two sisters, Pauline Cone, and Frances Jones.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Collins; son, Richard Collins both of Rogers, AR; grandson, Christian Dumas of Arkadelphia, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at Young’s.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 11, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating.
