Art Shackelford, age 91, of Russellville died Monday, September 26, 2022, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born March 7, 1931, in Waldo to John Samie and Polly Emily Caldwell Shackelford.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a member of the Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Shackelford.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Betty Love Shackelford; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dana Paul Moudy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; a sister, Alice Fincher of Magnolia; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, Pat and Sonny Ivy of Russellville; a brother-in-law, Bobby Love of Norphlet; two grandchildren, Russell P. Moudy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Nikki Moudy Dreisch of Munich, Germany; and five great-grandchildren, Ally Moudy, Carson Moudy, Riken Moudy, Ian Dreisch and Leo Dreisch.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado with the Rev. Doug Wills officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards The Arbors of Russellville for the love and care they have show Artis and Betty.
