September 23, 1946 - September 22, 2021

Lindell Greggory (Gregg) Buchanan, 74, of El Dorado, passed away, Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Born September 23, 1946 in Prescott, AR to the late Lindell and Ruth Buchanan.
Gregg is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sue Buchanan; daughter, Gretchen Garrison (Kevin) of Springdale, AR; son, Adam Buchanan (Robin) of El Dorado, AR; step daughters, Allison Barnard (Paul) of Magee, MS, and Deia Sanders (Patrick) of Mendenhall, MS; grandchildren, Janson, Carson, Grayson, Sadie, Millie, Logan, Shelby, Nyla, Piper, and Parker; his sisters, Mary McBrayer of Bryant, AR and Marcia Lasiter of Prescott, AR

Gregg grew up in Prescott, Arkansas and was proud to be a Prescott Curly Wolf. He loved telling stories about growing up in a small town. He was a boy scout, played football, hunted, helped his dad at the farm, and enjoyed playing with his friends until the street lights came on at night. He graduated from Southern State College in Magnolia, AR in 1969 where he played football. After college he worked in marketing for IBM in Little Rock before establishing Robinson-Buchanan Real Estate in El Dorado in 1974, where he enjoyed 30 years in residential and commercial real estate. Real Estate was the perfect profession for Gregg because he loved meeting people. He genuinely cared about everyone he met over the years. He had many accomplishments including Arkansas Realtors Association Million Dollar Club, El Dorado Realtor of the Year, and Arkansas Realtors Association Presidents Award.

Over the years Gregg enjoyed motorcycling, boating, hunting, fishing, camping, working in the yard, playing on his tractor, making knives, driving his ’56 Chevrolet, canoeing, and scuba diving.

He loved his Prescott High School classmates, Southern State football teammates who he enjoyed seeing every year at SAU homecoming, his Lil’ Mo Camp hunting buddies, and his coffee group.

As a result of cancer treatments Gregg lost two things he truly enjoyed, his ability to talk plainly and eat. He is with his Lord now and no longer has physical disabilities. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him but is certainly enjoying a wonderful meal and talking to everyone he meets in heaven.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to LifeTouch Hospice or Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Paul Barnard officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Director
