Harvey Lee (Buck) Cottrell, 84, was born February 14, 1935 to his parents Charles Wesly and Jessie Rogers Cottrell. He was originally from Three Creeks, Arkansas and a resident of Cabot, Arkansas at the time of his death. Buck passed away on Friday, January 3 at 1:30 am in the Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock after a long battle with dementia.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the local coffee shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Marlene Cottrell and one sister Francis Hicks (Pete).

He is survived by three sisters, Bobbie Jean Lee (the late Charlie), Charlotte Ann Lewis (Rickey), Shirley Ray Roberson (Ricky), one brother Charles Cottrell (Glenda), two children Robert Cottrell (Pam) and Cynthia Sled (Greg), seven grandchildren, Wesly Cottrell, Cody Cottrell, Bob Bryan, Ben Bryan, Lindsey Boatman (Brandon), Jason Sled and Kaylee Sled, and a special niece, Jenny Crawford (Mike) along with a host of other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 6 followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Brother Dano Rainer officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
