Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. J. H. Rowe officiating for Mrs. Lorene Jones, 57, who died recently. Born July 1, 1914 in Union County, she was the daughter of Ben and Mattie Tatum Forch. She was a member of the St. James Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Porter Jones; four sons, Morris Moses Banks, Jr, Detroit, Mich., Sgt. Jerry Lee Jones, London, Eng., Garland P. Jones, Detroit, Mich., and Albert Jones, El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Ann Price, Chicago, Ill., and Miss Mattie Sue Jones, El Dorado; two brothers, and a grandson. Burial will be in Rehovah Cemetery in Norphlet under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. (El Dorado Times - August 21, 1971)
