Wallace Emerson Bonner Sr., 75, of Conway passed away Tuesday, May 10th in Conway. Wallace was born March 27, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Ruben Wallace Bonner and Frances Gladys Stark Bonner. Wallace enlisted in the Navy early in life where he spent ten years serving our country. He received the National Defense Service Metal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Upon leaving the Navy, Wallace completed classes at Little Rock Vocational School for plumbing and also courses in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at Pulaski Vocational Technical School. He worked in different capacities earning his Master of Plumbing license. He built the home that he and Glenda shared in Conway.
Wallace was a Christian and studied God's word and loved to talk about the Lord. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was a favorite uncle to some special little grandnieces.
Wallace is survived by his wife of 22 years, Glenda Faye McGinty Bonner of Conway, daughter, Frances Evelyn Bonner of Seaside, Oregon and son, Wallace Emerson Bonner, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Odenton, Maryland; two granddaughters, Celeste and Cassandra Bonner of Maryland; half-brother, Thomas Emerson Bonner of Mt. Judah, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1pm Friday, May 13, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Pastor Tom New officiating. Interment will follow at McGinty Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Glenda's nephews, David McGinty, Michael McGinty, Chris McGinty, Brian, Brad and Brent Meachum, Jonathan Jones, Josh Williams and Gary Ringgold. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/greenbrier.
