Dylan Weeks, 19, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident. Dylan was a native and life long resident of Hamburg. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 2013 and he worked for M&M Tire Company. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Ministries Church and he also attended Southside Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bill & Inez Weeks and Loften and Betty Griffin.
He is survived by his wife of three weeks and one day, Starlitt Prescott Weeks; a son, Dylan Ray “DJ” Weeks, Jr. both of Hamburg; his mother, Regina Weeks of Magnolia; his grandparents, Kenneth and Becky McCrory Griffin of Hamburg and Edward and Eunice Hannah Weeks of Lake
Village; his great-grandmother, Sally Estelle Selby; his great-grandfather, Monroe McCrory both of Hamburg; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, L.D. and Shelia Prescott of Portland and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Frankie Martin, Dakota Martin, Justin Martin, Ryan Carpenter, Chad Leveritt and Robert Earl McCrory.
Dylan gave blood at every opportunity he had. The family would ask that friends donate blood in his memory.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in the
chapel.
