Mrs. Marie “Ree” Daniels, 85 of Fountain Hill, AR, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Woods of Monticello Nursing Facility. She was a lifelong resident of Fountain Hill, a retired employee of the Fountain Hill School District, where she was a cafeteria worker for 32 years, and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willie Daniels, one daughter, Vertis Starnes, a grandson, Jared Graves, her parents: Virgel Lee & Verta Martin Miller, two brothers, Napolean & Amos Miller and three sisters: Annette Redman, Rozell Duckworth and Helen Fisher. She enjoyed playing the piano; she was the pianist at her church for over 52 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Golden Chapter 380.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Graves of Benton Harbor, MI, one god-son, Rev. Charles “Bucky” Killion, wife Johnnie Faye of McGehee, AR, three brothers: Lee Morris Miller and Raymos Miller both of Toledo, OH & Clinton Miller of Carson, CA, four sisters: Geneva Tribbett of Toledo, OH, Claudell Goree of Crossett, AR, Sarah Collins of Detroit, MI & Annie Curtis of Chicago, IL, three grandchildren, Gia Graves of Chicago, IL, Douglas Thomas of Austin, TX & Dexter Thomas of Dumas, AR, grand daughter-in-law, Joyce Graves of Bridgman, MI and two great-grandchildren, Jared Graves, Jr. Kalamazoo, MI & Javen Graves of Bridgman, MI.
Funeral services are Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Chris Goodman & Rev. Billy Reddick officiating. Pallbearers are Eric Woods, Kedrick Woods, Milton Johnson, Jr., Bobby Hill, Jr., Antonio Fisher & Vernon Fisher, Jr. Burial in Norris Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
Viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
