Billy Ray Bridges, 60, of Crossett, died Aug. 18, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA. He was born on August 05, 1955 in Lake Village to Billy Joe and Ernestine McCrory Bridges. Mr. Bridges was a retired truck driver, and a Baptist. He was known for his love of playing his guitar and singing, and always making his family laugh. He also loved to visit by phone with his grandchildren until late at night.

He is preceded in death by his father Billy Joe Bridges, and one sister Wanda Bond.

He is survived by his mother, Ernestine Boyd of Crossett; three sons, Billy Wayne Bridges and wife Stacy of Washington D.C., Toby Bridges and wife Tonya of D’Iberville, LA, and Jason Bridges of Ocean Springs, MS; two daughters, Tami Morin and husband Ralph of Slidell, LA, and Julie Sullivan and husband Danny of Hot Springs; one brother Gary Lynn Bridges of Crossett; three sisters, Ann Bridges and Julie Kelley both of Crossett, Janice Grayson and husband Joe of Star City; thirteen grandchildren and a loving host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22 at 10:00am at the Medders Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Montrose Cemetery. Pallbearers are Toby Bridges, Jason Bridges, Ralph Morin, Austin Kelley, Danny Sullivan, and David Edwards; Honorary Pallbearer is Billy Wayne Bridges.

Medders Funeral Home of Crossett is in charge of the arrangements.
