Jena Christine (Chrissy) Hester, 38, of Montrose died Monday, February 27, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident. Mrs. Hester was a native of Monroe, Louisiana and a resident of Montrose for the past 22 years. She attended Lakeside High School in Lake Village. She was a homemaker and she served on the Montrose City Council and was a former member of the Montrose Volunteer Fire Department. She loved to fish.

She is preceded in death by a son, Aubyrn Thomas Hester in 2016; her grandmother, Christine (Cricket) Burns and a uncle, Jeff Burns.

She is survived by her husband, William Hester of Montrose; a step-son, Kalen Blake Hester of Lake Village; her mother, Vicki Mixon and step-father, Franky, of Montrose; her father, Keith Bunn and step-mother, Pam, of Ruston, Louisiana; a brother, Buster Craig and wife, Brooklyn, of West Monroe, Louisiana; her grandfather, Earl Burns of Montrose; two step-brothers, Chris Oehlerich and Brad Oehlerich both of Covington, Georgia; two children of her heart, Zoey & Jay Cessor of Montrose; a niece; a nephew; special friends, Bennie & Rose Mary Young of Hermitage, Jennifer Andrews and Marcy Henslee both of Crossett.

Graveside services and burial are 10 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Montrose Cemetery with Rev. David Owens officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Parkerson, T.J. Burns, Jim Cessor, Bradley Rosenbaum, Chris Markham and Jimmy Parkerson. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
