Mr. James C. Spruell, 36, of Hamburg, died Friday, July 27, 2007 as the result of an automobile accident in Bastrop, Louisiana. Mr. Spruell was a native of Monroe, Louisiana; a resident of Hamburg since 1983. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1990 and he worked for Nabors Offshore Corporation as a derrick hand. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to ride the back roads. He is survived by a son, William Tanner Spruell; his parents, James & Glenda Wilson Spruell; a brother, Kevin Spruell and wife, Dee Dee, all of Hamburg; four sisters, Jamie Hogan and husband, Richard, of Hamburg, Becky Poole and husband, Jason of Olla, LA, Renea Langley and husband, Scott, of Tullos, LA and Kathy Spruell of Hamburg; his fiancAC., Lisa Lynette Rice of Fountain Hill and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2007 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Murphy, Donnie Watt, Kirk Starling, Carl Green, Joey West, and Kevin Streeter. Honorary pallbearers are Shelby Carpenter, James Orby Shaver, Joe Ebarb & Caleb French. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
