Earl Few Rogers, 82, philanthropist and civic leader, of Conway died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born December 4, 1923 in Stuttgart, AR to the late Edna Earl Few Rogers and Robert Foster Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Foster Rogers, Jr. and sisters, Sue Turnbow and Mary Louise Freck.

He was a graduate of Conway High School and attended Hendrix College before enlisting in the U.S. Army being honorably discharged after serving in the European Theater.

He was owner of Earl Rogers Co.

He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Mary Louise Johnson Rogers; son, Earl Few Rogers II and wife Ruth of Pine Bluff; daughters, Jennifer Lee Pearce and husband Dr. Gerald Pearce of Heber Springs and Mary Louise Clifton and husband Bob of Conway; grandchildren, Earl Few Rogers III, Amy Rogers Goodman, Cassandra Clifton Tapp, Brittany Clifton Haley; step grandson, Thomas Andrew Crozier and nine great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Murry officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Faulkner County 4 H Club, Boy Scouts of America or Faulkner County Library.

Visitation is Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
