Robert James McIntire, 89, of Bella Vista passed away on November 18, 2019. He was born on December 21, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late James Page and Celia Fern Pray McIntire.
Bob served with the Army 2nd Division in Alaska. He was a member of the Highland Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was an active member of several Masonic organizations and served as Rajah of the Neosho Shrine. After retiring from sales, purchasing, quality control and engineering, he and Jimmee traveled extensively in their motorhome but always came back to retirement in Bella Vista.
Bob was a good man who was proud of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janice Lynn Frazier; and two sisters, Donna Fern Foley and Beverly Louise Cameron.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna Faith “Jimmee” McIntire; children, Robert James McIntire, Jr. and wife Kathleen, DeAnne Faith Witherspoon OD and husband David, John Page McIntire and wife Jilie, and Jennifer Elaine Tilley and husband Phillip; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9 at Highland Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Bella Vista. Bob will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Bella Vista, or to Circle of Life Hospice.
