*Obituary

Ginger Elizabeth McClung, 66, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2022. She was born June 30, 1954 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Richard and Sonnye McClung.

Ginger is survived by brothers, Richard (Dickie) McClung, Jr of Greenbrier and Kim (Penny) McClung of Barney; nephew, Curt (Crystal) McClung of Vilonia; nieces, Hannah McClung of Greenbrier, Sarah McClung of Greenbrier and Chantel McClung of Wann, OK and great-nieces and nephews, Magdalena McClung, Charlotte McClung, Cayden McClung and A.J. McClung, along with many adored family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard and Sonnye and her nephew, Adam McClung.

As a young girl and the only girl with two brothers, Ginger grew up tough (and ornery). She loved horses and being barefoot. She was a daddy's girl and loved muscle cars, eventually becoming a proud owner of a Trans Am. Her young nephews loved to go for rides with their cool aunt in her stylish car. Ginger (Aunt G, Gin Gin) had an impeccable work ethic and took great pride in her many years at Kimberly Clark. She was a talented painter and was an active and beloved member of Springhill Baptist Church. Ginger could be strong-willed and even hardheaded, but that came in handy when cancer showed up at her door. Cancer didn't stand a chance against Ginger and she became cancer free after a hard-fought battle. Aunt G loved her family fiercely. Her nieces and nephews were all "her babies" and she loved to spoil them. One of her greatest joys included family get-togethers. Every Fourth of July, she would show up with her famous smiley face cookies which was fitting since she always donned a smile. She was an avid movie watcher, could "shoot the bull" with the best of them and was a proud Democrat in a sea of Republicans. She wasn't afraid to stand up for her beliefs, her family, or her God. She loved cats and never left the house without her lipstick. A few memories shared about her in the wake of her passing were "She was a joy to work with", "Always so happy", "Fun to visit with" and "Such a good person, lots of fun memories made at KC throughout the years". Her family will miss her smile, her stories, her jokes and the love she showered them with.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Springhill Cemetery, Greenbrier, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Springhill Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas in Ginger's honor.
