William Earl Duncan, 90 of Camden, AR went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. William accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age in Buena Vista. He was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene. He was born on September 8, 1931 in Ogemaw, AR to Samuel and Susan Duncan.
William enlisted in the United States Army in 1950 and was called to report for duty in the Korean War. Shortly after returning from war he met his beautiful wife of almost 65 years. They married in August 1957 and were blessed with two daughters, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. They raised their family in Camden and always relied on their steadfast belief in God to guide them. William retired from Tim Jordan Construction in 1995. He was a man of integrity, love, pride, and honor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Susan Duncan; his brother, David Duncan; his sister, Bettie Sue Burgett; his grandson, Jake Porter; great nephew, Daniel Eppinette; and great granddaughter, Everly Keene.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Duncan; his brothers, Jimmy and Gary Duncan; his daughters, Terri Porter and husband, Stacey of Camden; Glenda Starr and husband, Mike of Morrilton; his grandchildren, Chad Jennings of Morrilton, Anna Keene and husband, Gary of Camden, Duncan Starr and wife, Taylor of Van Buren, Brailee Whorton and husband, Zach of Benton; his great grandchildren, Hannah Parker, Jayden Porter, Hadley Porter, Grayson Keene, Zoey Starr, and Vera Whorton, and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM Saturday April 16, 2022 at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Proctor Funeral Home. Rev. Kerry Carpenter will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery, Camden, AR.
