ROGERS — Otis Gordon Mailer, 75 of Rogers died June 28, 2007, at his home in the Beaver Shores community. He was born July 10, 1931, in Lead Hill to John Thomas and Addle Payne Marler.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Rita May on Sept. 22, 1977. He was known as a "jack of all trades" and enjoyed working with his hands including whittling, woodcraft, painting and welding. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by a son, J.T. Marler, in March.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Marler of the home; three sons, Mike Marler of Rogers, Steve Marler and wife Linda of Derby, Kan., Jim Marler of Cherryville, Kan.; a daughter, Tammy Marler of Winfield, Kan.; four brothers, Butch Marler of Etoile, Texas, Dee Marler of Cassviile, Mo., Earl Marler of Udall, Kan., Grover Marler of Bethel Heights; two sisters, Neva Cook of Cassvine, Mo., Jennie McPherson of Winfield, Kan.; 14 grandchildren, three great-grand-children.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in National Cemetery at Fayetteville with Judith Lund officiating. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale.
