SPRINGDALE — Mark James Kugler, 54, of Springdale, Ark., passed away at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. Mark was born July 24, 1963, at Fort Belvoir, Va., to Jim and Kathy Kugler.

Mark grew up in Eagle River, Wis., and graduated from Northland Pines High School in 1981.

After attending Montana State for one year and serving 8 1/2 years in the Army, Mark settled in Bella Vista, Ark., and completed his college education at John Brown University.

He worked for the Bella Vista Police Department, Securitas Security Co. and Walmart.

Mark's bucket list this summer consisted of taking a long-planned fishing trip to Alaska with friends and seeing his younger son become an Eagle Scout. He accomplished both those events?

Mark was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his sons, CJ and Nicolas, both Eagle Scouts and students at University of Arkansas; mother, Kathy Johnson; brother, Mike (Sandra) Kugler; nieces, Erica and Andrea and other friends and relatives.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at a later date.

Rest in peace Mark — we love you.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
