February 14, 1939 - September 4, 2013
Thomas "Tommy" W. Stegall went to be with his Lord on September 4, 2013 at Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado, AR at the age of 74. He was born February 14, 1939 in Urbana, AR to William E. Stegall and Verline Torrence Stegall Talley, who both preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William Thomas Stegall and Mary Emma Long Stegall; maternal grandparents, Carroll Torrence and Jesse Duke Torrence; one brother, Wilbur N. Stegall; one sister, Emma Jo Stegall McElhiney.
He is survived by four daughters, Karen Sue Atwood, Donna Lynn and husband, Doug Begin, Tressie Reye and husband, Dave Delos Reyes and Kelly Renee and husband, Greg Tannery, all of Conroe, TX. Tommy is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Cory Atwood, Thomas and wife, Lauren, Delaney, and Douglas Begin, Joseph, Matthew, and Alex Delos Reyes, Jason, Lauren, Katelyn and Madelyn Tannery; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Thomas Begin, Olivia, Avishal, and Hudson Tannery. Survivors also include one brother, Doyle Stegall and wife, Dorsey; one sister, Ginger Stegall Busch; one brother-in-law, Richard "Mac" McElhiney and a host of nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Tommy.
Tommy was a faithful member of East Faulkner Church of Christ. He was a real outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid dog trainer and bird hunter. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many.
Tommy attended Arkansas State University on a full track and field scholarship. He was owner and operator of Stegall Construction Company.
Tommy had too many friends to name, but special thanks to his brother, Doyle and his buds, Bobby Webb and J.P. Presley.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, Timberland Health and Rehab and Life Touch Hospice House who treated Tommy's illness.
The family will be at the Doyle Stegall residence at 111 Joyce Drive, El Dorado.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at East Faulkner Church of Christ with funeral service following at 11:00. Scott Johnson will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
