Garland County,
Arkansas

The Underwood family came to Marble township in the 1890's and settled in the Beaudry Community. Their Homestead was located in the area now known as Cortez Golf Course. The Underwoods had two (2) sons. In 1898 their son Curtis, died of Rabies at the age of nineteen (19). He was buried near his home in the median on Cortez Road.
