Carrie McCoy, 78 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia.
She was born on July 8, 1941 in Goldonna, Louisiana to the late Willie Rastus Rhymes and Ida Lucille (Neal) Almond. She retired from retail sales work and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing when she was able.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Allen Rhymes. Carrie is survived by her life time companion Darrell McCoy of Magnolia; three children, Linda and Terry McLemore of Marion, Louisiana; Robert and Tracy Baxley, Diane and Johnny Ware all of Magnolia; five siblings, Jeannett Mathews, Sandra Guinn, Willie Albert Rhymes, J.W. Rhymes all of Campti, Louisiana, and Jimmy Rhymes of Bethany, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Robbie Baxley, Jordon Baxley, Ryan and Montana Ware all of Magnolia, David McLemore of Marion, Ashley and Troy Griffen of Bussy, Brandi Ware of Magnolia, Kasi McLemore of Marion, Tonya and Tony Reeves of Farmerville; and seventeen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Danny Bullock officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
