W.C. “Mac” McEachern, 88 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.
He was born on November 1, 1926 in Shongaloo, Louisiana to the late Melvin and Nobie (Greer) McEachern. He was a mechanic at Jakes’s Wheel Alignment for many years, a member of First Baptist Church in McNeil, and loved large gardens and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Lea Ann Rasberry; a grandson Daniel Dowling; and three brothers, Horace McEachern, Aubrey McEachern, and Darnell McEachern.
Mac is survived by his wife of forty two years, Faye McEachern of Waldo; three children, Doug and Brenda McEachern of Shreveport, Brenda and Leroy Dowling of Waldo, Charles Doss of Waldo; son in law Ron Rasberry of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Matthew McEachern, Meredith Piper, Lindsey Wiley, Kayla Doss, and Carrie Christenson; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 5, 2015 beginning at 10:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Bullock officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be David Spradlin, James Spradlin, Stanley Irons, Doug Fields, Jimmy Ogle, and Matthew McEachern.
