*When Eugene Thomas Hodges was born on May 25, 1905, in Arkansas, his father, Oscar, was 23 and his mother, Mae, was 22. He married Jennie Lee Johnson and they had six children together. He then married Sarah Carter on November 28, 1961, in Searcy, Arkansas. He died on August 9, 1976, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 71, and was buried there.
