Donald David Collie Sr., 85 of Cabot departed this life to begin his eternal life on June 8, 2014 at Spring Creek Nursing Home, Cabot, Ark. after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on March 14, 1929 to John and Minnie Ashley Collie in Batesville, Ark.

He moved his family to North Little Rock to further his career. He worked at several jobs in the industry before landing at Apartment House Builders. He was soon charged with starting a new company, Metro Builders, Inc. that specialized in disaster restoration. Through his guidance as president, the company grew to be a leader in the industry. He retired in 1996.

We all loved him and will miss him, but we take great comfort and peace in knowing that he is in heaven riding his horses with his beloved dogs beside him.
