September 21, 1923 - June 3, 2017
Hanford McClure, 93 of Batesville died Saturday, June 3, 2017. He was born September 21, 1923 at Cave Creek, Arkansas to William Claud and Alma Weaver McClure. He was a restaurant cook having worked for Kelly Restaurants in Newport and Paragould and Kelly Wyatt’s Restaurant in Batesville. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior McClure and Jack McClure; sisters, Ozella Pruett and Minnie Osborn.
Survivors include sister, Jonnie K. Harris of Chatanooga, Tennessee; nephews, Tommy Osborn and Jerry Pruett; nieces, Brenda Osborn, Jackie Pruett, Cynthia Harris, Barbara McClure, Linda McClure and Jan McClure and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Tony Moser officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
