Camden, Feb. 18 - While feeding chickens in the barnyard at her home Friday evening, Mrs. Lula Dunlap Lynn of Vanduser, six miles north of Camden, was so badly bitten by a vicious jack that there is some doubt of her recovery. Mrs. Dunlap Entered the yard with a stick to frighten the animal away as usual, but for some reason laid the stick down for a moment. As soon as she placed the stick on the ground the animal made dash and bit her several times on the left arm and ear and in a number of places in the face. Mrs. Dunlap fainted after the animal's first attack and was left to the mercy of the beast until aid arrived. Her arm was so badly bitten that Camden surgeons were compelled to amputate it today. Her left ear was nearly bitten off and she suffered several bad bites in the face and head. Her condition is serious. (Arkansas Democrat - February 19, 1922)
