TUNSTILL, John G. – John G. Tunstill, 85 years of age, an old resident of Washington County, died Sunday afternoon at his home in Fayetteville, following a stroke of paralysis a few days ago. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Goshen.

State of Arkansas Confederate Pension Archives
Mrs. Amelia E. Tunstill, widow of John G. Tunstill, who died September 12, 1920, filed Widow Application #29905 with the State Confederate Pension Board for a Confederate widow pension, which was allowed July 15, 1929, citing her husband’s service with Company G, 37th Arkansas Infantry from 1862 thru 1864.
