Barbara Jean Elizabeth Selvidge, 73, of Searcy died Saturday, July 28, 2007. Born July 31, 1933 in White County, she was the daughter of the late E.F. and Leelian Cofer.
She was a member of the Gum Springs Presbyterian Church where she served as secretary and treasurer for over 30 years; she also worked the voting poll for the Gum Springs Township for numerous years. Mrs. Selvidge is preceded in death by two brothers, Hartsell and Mineral Cofer; and two sisters, Virginia Anderson and Shirley Holleman.
Survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, Arwain Selvidge of Searcy; two sons, Ronnie Selvidge and wife, Cheryl of Searcy; David Selvidge of Searcy; one daughter, Christine Belcher and husband, Thomas of Dallas, Texas; two grandsons, Jeremy Selvidge and fiancée' Laurie of Carlisle; Jake Selvidge and wife, Telia of McRae; one great grandson, Rodney Colt Selvidge of McRae; numerous nieces and nephews.
