Benny Carl Meadors, 76, of Alma, Arkansas died Thursday, October 20, 2005, in his home. He was born January 28, 1929, in Alma to the late Earl and Mae (Huff) Meadors. He was a retired carpenter and produce farmer, a lifelong resident of Crawford County and of the Protestant Faith. Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2005, at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. He is survived by his wife; four daughters; and their husbands; two sisters; a brother; and two grandchildren.

Betty "JoAnn" Meadors, 84, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in a local hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Fanny Miller Circle at the church. JoAnn was a former employee of Commercial Bank in Alma. She loved spending time at the Mulberry Senior Center competing with the Mulberry Dirt Dobbers and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was born December 28, 1936 in Van Buren, AR to the late Robert and Mayme (Shibley) Thurman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benny Carl Meadors; a sister, Mary Sue Peters and a brother Kendall "Bob" Thurman. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Officiating will be Pastor Dale Richardson.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Whittington and husband Eldon of Alma, Donna McKaskle and husband Wayne of Greenbrier and Karen Meadors of Alma; sister, Sharon Ogilvie of Alma; grandchildren, Miles McKaskle of Greenbrier and Madison Smith and husband Austin of Greenbrier; great grandchild, Addison McKaskle; stepdaughter, Marilyn Jumper of PA and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cameron, Collin, Carl, and Alan Ogilvie, Buddy and Scott Peters. Honorary pallbearers will be member of her Sunday School Class. Published by Times Record from Aug. 5 to Aug. 6, 2021.
