Jeremy S. Owens, 36, of Beebe, passed from this life April 21, 2013. He was born August 19, 1976 in Searcy to Gary Owens Sr. and Velma Donnell.

Capt. Jeremy Owens, a 14 year employee and pilot onboard the MV Twyla Luhr of Luhr Bros. Inc. was known as a fine young man with a huge smile and wonderful disposition. He had a strong faith and deep love for his family. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Owens Sr.; and brother, Joshua Walker; maternal grandparents, Wanda and B.B. Donnell; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Maxine Owens.

He is survived by his loving wife of five years, Carrie Davis Owens; one son, Brady Owens; step daughter, Micah Wood; mother and step father, Velma and Mitchell Swain; brothers, Gary Owens Jr. and Jason Owens; step brothers, Jesse, Justin, and Jeremy Swain, J.J. and Steven Walker; sisters, Melissa El Houri, Sara and Mare Walker; nieces and nephew, Tori, Isabella, Alex; one great niece, Sophia; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the The River Church in Judsonia.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Jeremy Owens Memorial Fund at any First Security Bank.
