John Gregory Heflin, 44, of Russellville, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at home. He was born August 20, 1960, at Pomona, California. He was a member of the Pottsville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandson. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Heflin of Aurora, Missouri; a son and daughter-in-law, Brett and LaKisha Heflin of Russellville; a step-son, John Massey of Kingston, Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Breena Holcombe of Reno, Nevada; his father and step-mother, John L. and Bettye Heflin of Pottsville; his mother and step-father, Rita and Wayne Nordin of Russellville; a half brother, Jackie Heflin of Dover; two sisters, Rhonda Heflin of Atkins and Cheryl Caines of Azusa, California; a step-brother, Bryan Freeman of Plainview; a step-sister, Sherry Polsgrove of Russellville; his grandson, Jaydin Heflin of Russellville; two nieces; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Birge officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Don Parker. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be David, Johnny, and Cody Birge, Bryan Freeman, Larry Boast, and Don Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be John Viney-Rendon and Michael Savage.
