Dessie Clotine Long, age 80, of Ward, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Searcy, Arkansas. Born on November 6, 1935 in Carlisle, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late John E. Moody and Lillian Jouquette Rochelle Moody.

Mrs. Long was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the McJester Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister June Nelson and her brother-in-law Johnnie Douglass.

She is survived by her husband Johnnie Long of Ward, Arkansas, her children Juanita Clotine Green and her husband Kevin of Blytheville, Arkansas and Darrell Wayne Long of Ward, Arkansas, her sisters Martha Douglass of Beebe, Arkansas, Mary Nell Holcomb and her husband Charles of Beebe, Arkansas and Johnnie Faye Dillard and her husband David of Little Rock, Arkansas, her brother-in-law Ken Nelson of Lonoke, Arkansas, her grandchildren Justin Whitehurst, Jacob Whitehurst, Emily Long, Aaron Long and Samantha Long and her great-great-grandson Weston Daughtery. Mrs. Long is also survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the McJester Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Mike Wells. Interment will follow in Leggett Cemetery.
