July 29, 1925 - April 10, 2012
Elizabeth Dailey Hall was born into time on July 29, 1925 in the Mt. Zion Community to John Sanders and Helen Dailey.
As a young lady she grew up in the Mt. Zion Community with the shared love of two sisters and one brother. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the Mt. Zion AME Church.
In 1942, she married the handsome Valto Hall and they made their home in Manning, Arkansas. Their marriage blossomed with the birth of five healthy children.
“Bess” as she was affectionately called possessed a warm and gentle spirit. She was wlll know and loved throughout the community. Bess loved church and attended until her health would no longer permit her to do so.
She was a constant presence at the Dailey and House Reunion. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, but her passion was cooking. Her reputation for preparing some of the best home cooked food grew, as she worked as a cook for several notable families in Arkadelphia.
“Bess” believed in looking her best and always made a fashionable impression in the public of in the privacy of her home.
Bess passed from this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Valto, brother Howard Dailey, Sr., and a son Sydney Dean Hall.
Her memory will live in the hearts of her children, Bobby Charles Hall of Arkadelphia, Mae Evelyn Hall of Milwaukee, WI, Tommy (Patricia) Hall of Dallas, TX, and Ronnie (Nancy) Hall of Arkadelphia; two sisters Irma Jean Craig of Milwaukee, WI and Hazel Burks of Malvern, AR; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and many friends.
Mrs. Hall will lie in repose on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The home going celebration will convene at 10: 00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Mt. Zion AME Church where Rev. Henry Morgan, Jr., is the pastor and celebrant. Rev. J. C. Owens will deliver the eulogy.
The committal service and final resting place will be at Henderson Cemetery in Princeton, Arkansas.
Bearers of the casket will be Michael Burks, Timothy Burks, Marvin Watson, Glen Harrison, Nicholas Hall and Martin Watson.
