Deborah Kay Henderson Lock, 62, of Malvern, Arkansas, was born June 16, 1957 to John Henry Henderson and Florida Lee Green- Adams. She accepted Christ at an early age at Calvary Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor J. W Harrison. In her most recent years, she joined Victory Praise and Worship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Henry Mitchell.


Deborah was an outgoing, caring and loving person with a great sense of humor. Deborah was also very opinionated and did not mind saying what was on her mind. She enjoyed fishing, going to Oaklawn Racing and Gaming and watching her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys play. She had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served many years working in the transportation industry where she drove 18 wheelers and the SCAT. She also worked for Kohler Company where she specialized in manufacturing faucets, until the plant closed.

On Sunday, November 3, 2019, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by loving family, the Lord called Deborah home.


Deborah was preceded in death by her father, John “Little John” Henderson; a son Ben McCollum III, one brother, John Henry Henderson Jr. and three sisters: twins, Betty and Barbara Henderson and Ramona “Neicy” Smith.


Deborah will forever be loved and missed by her son, Cedric Henderson (Nerissa) of Santa Clarita, CA.; two daughters: Catina Yvette Mitchell (Terrence) and Chandra Nicole McCollum both of Malvern; mother, Florida Adams of Malvern; brother, Demetrius Henderson (Tracy) of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters: Vicky Brim of Bryant, Arkansas and Belinda Henderson (Bobby) of Malvern; one brother in law, Clyde Smith of Sherwood, Arkansas; grandchildren Quavius Henderson (Marissa), Myesha Langston, Ahmad Holmes, Bray Henderson, Taryah McCollum, Carrington Smith and Cedia Henderson; one great-grandchild, Malachi Reed; special friends, Deborah Hunter, Kay Moss, Valerie Dickerson, Kia McClellan, Linda Galbert and a host of other relatives and friends.


There will be a celebration of Deb's Life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Victory Praise and Worship Church, in Malvern. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the church, on Friday, November 8th. Her earthly body will be laid to rest at Henderson Cemetery, which is located in the Mt. Zion community of Princeton, Arkansas.


The family will be receiving friends at 826 Acme Street, Malvern.
