Patrick Reagan Murphy, passed peacefully in the arms of Jesus, on April 16, 2020.Pat, known as Murf to many, was born on April 18, 1966 in Conway, Arkansas. Pat is survived by his wife Teri Kennedy Murphy, son Luke Aston Murphy, and daughter Lauren Taylor Murphy. Pat is also survived by three brothers: Guy (LeAnn) Murphy, Jr., Michael L. Murphy, and James R. Murphy, Sr, all of Conway; and sister Maureen (Michael) Threet of Sunnyvale, TX. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Guy W. and Dolores Parks Murphy of Conway, and grandparents: James Lee "Pat" Murphy and Elnora Marks Murphy of Ola, Arkansas, and Ora Elmon and Ruby Parks of Rogers, Arkansas.Pat graduated from Conway High School in 1984. He graduated from University of Arkansas in 1988 with his BS in Finance & Banking. Pat was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity in Fayetteville, and served as the chapter Commander (president) from 1987-88.Pat had a 26-year career in banking in Conway before joining Conway Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor in 2018. Pat was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Conway and an active member of the Tilley Small Group. He was an avid duck hunter and loved spending time with his buddies at Crane Creek Hunting Club near the White River. Pat enjoyed sports as a participant, fan, and youth coach. He especially enjoyed coaching many of Luke's baseball teams and Lauren's softball teams when they were growing up. He always supported and encouraged them in any sport they participated in. Pat was an avid Razorback fan his whole life and enjoyed countless games with his family and friends, and was always up for a good tailgate. He was thrilled to serve as a spotter for the Razorbacks in the press box one season and was the public address announcer for many Wampus Cat JV football games. Pat inherited and practiced his parents belief in investing in one's family and community. He was active in the local business community and a frequent volunteer in local civic activities. However, his first priority and joy was his family. Pat loved spending time with his family, friends, and his children's friends. Pat leaves behind many treasured family members: Father and mother-in-law Richard and Phyllis Kennedy of Conway; brothers-in-law Jon (Heather) Kennedy of Claremore, Oklahoma; Josh (Amy) Kennedy of Conway; and Allie Kennedy of Conway. Nieces and nephews: Sam Kennedy, Savannah Kennedy, Charlie Kennedy, Maegan Kennedy, Caleb Kennedy, Reid Kennedy, Miranda (Rob) Breedlove, Meagan Murphy, Molly Murphy, Mark Murphy, James (Amanda) Murphy, John Murphy, Katherine Murphy, Sarah Murphy, Jackson Murphy, Jim Threet, Katie Threet, and John Threet. Aunts and Uncles: Dorothea Dail, Elaine & Bill Ivy, Bob Parks, June Mathis and Bea Parks. Pallbearers will be Guy Murphy, Jr., Michael L. Murphy, James R. Murphy, Jon Kennedy, Josh Kennedy, Greg Pillow, Scott Robnett, Dr. Brad Tilley, and Mike Vickers.A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Our family would like to thank so many at CRMC, who gave Pat such great care. We love you Dr. Brad Tilley, Dr. Martin Moix, Dr. Greg Kendrick, and special nurses June, Carolyn, Jill and Marilyn!In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted to honor Pat's memory (in person or by mail) at First Community Bank, 1089 Front St., Conway AR 72032.
